"Lying on the treatment table at my first acupuncture appointment in 1991, I had a vision of three translucent golden bands of light in my body:  There was one band at my midline and one on each side of my body. They were moving up my chest, over my shoulders and head, then down my back and legs before coming back up the front of my legs and chest.

During the treatment these bands of light became steady and smooth, flowing over my body.  All the symptoms of my upper respiratory infection disappeared.

In my studies of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine I learned that these three bands coincide with the Du, Ren and Gall Bladder meridians - three of the 12 primary channels or energy pathways recognized in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In the late 1990s, I received Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy during a period of deep depression in my life.  During these sessions another image of translucent, golden light appeared and was, once again, connected to my body.

This time a shimmering outer ring encompassed a translucent golden medallion. The outer ring rotated slowly and evenly over my body while turning in seemingly every direction imaginable.  The inner medallion rotated in one direction at a faster, yet still consistent rate. This inner medallion was perfectly suspended in the center of the outer ring.

The idea for Golden Light Healing Arts was conceived in 1991, the day I walked out of my first acupuncture treatment.  It was affirmed in the late 1990s after my experiences receiving Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy.  It was set in stone through the teachings and support of the many and varied teachers, healers, classmates and healthcare professionals that I have been honored to work with over the years.

These were the people that supported and encouraged me to develop and enhance my gifts through learning, understanding, trusting, application and ongoing practice.  These are a few of the people that are truly committed to and working to co-create a new age of excellence, accessibility and affordability in healthcare.

While the thanks to my teachers, mentors and peers can never truly be put into words or fully repaid, each time I work with someone in pain or distress they are with me, working to find the way to bring each client back to optimal health.

While I can not promise that you will see the same thing I witnessed within myself in the form of a healing, golden light or experience miraculous results as some clients have under my care, I am confident in my abilities and the gift that I have chosen to develop.
